The Bead Monkey was founded in June 1993 with the opening of our first Minneapolis store, part of the well known and trendy 50th and France shopping district in picturesque Edina, MN.
In November 2002, the Edina/Minneapolis store relocated just one block east of the 50th and France intersection. Our 'new' location is a bright and renovated 4200 square ft space, still a destination of choice amongst the wonderful stores and restaurants of this neighborhood shopping area.

The St. Paul Bead Monkey opened in 1996 on Grand Avenue in a renovated building from the 1930's.
The historic Grand Avenue shopping district hosts some the best restaurants, sight seeing, and shopping in town.
In May 2002, our St. Paul Bead Monkey moved into a spacious, new location within Victoria Crossing and we tripled our bead inventory.
The Minneapolis location had 90 square feet of Czech glass bead strands and the St Paul location has 84 square feet. Both locations feature the following:
